The Blue Wake Awards recognize exhibiting companies at the Monaco Yacht Show whose most innovative and measurable solutions are contributing to accelerating the ecological transition of yachting. The applications submitted by exhibitors approved by the Blue Wake Awards are evaluated by the Water Revolution Foundation according to strict criteria, after which the best solutions are submitted to the jury for the selection of winners.

The Special Jury Prize recognizes SIMENA within the Blue Wake Awards program following the evaluation of the solutions presented by the jurors. This award reinforces the achievements already reached: SIMENA boasts a 4-star SEA Index certification — a standard developed by the Yacht Club de Monaco and the UBS Group and verified by Lloyd’s Register — and has received two nominations for the La Belle Classe Superyachts Explorer Awards.

Simena, the propulsion

Its parallel hybrid propulsion system allows for exclusively electric navigation up to a speed of 7.5 knots, while power take-off (PTO) generation on the propeller shaft and hydraulic regeneration during sailing offer additional flexibility in managing onboard energy. Its MAN diesel engine ensures a maximum speed of 14 knots, with a range of approximately 4,800 nautical miles at 10 knots and up to about 6,800 nautical miles at an economical speed of 7.5 knots.
